How do you keep pictures from messenger going into my gallery? This is annoying

When a friend posts silly pictures on her messenger to me they automatically go to my gallery and then I have to go in and delete them. It's annoying. I Don't have sync on.

Gets on my nerves I've actually blocked people because of it. I ask myself ppl have to have better things to do. Sorry just venting

Find the folder the pictures are going to. Rename the smallest one .nomedia (nothing to the left of the dot). Or make a little text file (it doesn't have to have anything in it - it's the name that does it) named .nomedia in that folder. Media Scanner skips any folder with a file of that name in it, so Gallery won't show it. (When you start getting low on storage, you may want to go back in there and delete everything but the .nomedia file.)
