    Hey guys,

I was wondering if there is an app that anyone knows of that will automagically drop poor WiFi connections in favor of decent cellular connections.

The problem I have is, I am unfortunately a Comcast customer and I have the xFinity WiFi profile saved, but there are tons of little xFinity hotspots all over the place and so if I am out and about a lot of times it will connect to these hotspots but they are poor connections where you can't do anything. Another example is the wifi at work reaches out into the parking lot but it is so weak i cant use google maps or stream music, etc. in preparation for the commute home until i shut off wifi. Because I typically have WiFi on it just sits there and tries to use a useless connection. And I hate turning on and off the WiFi.

Is there an app or Widget that would detect a poor WiFi connection and drop it?

Which phone do you have? "Avoid weak connections" is a common advanced wi-fi setting, but might not be available on all phones. Go to Settings>Wi-fi, tap Menu>Advanced, and look for it there.

I have the Samsung Note 4. I will look to the settings there as you suggested.
