How do I free up more space in phone storage?

A

AC Question

I have anAlcatel 4015T Gophone with Android version 4.4.2, and attempting to install a cloud music storage app. I am showing 1.74GB TOTAL SPACE, and 1.6GB Apps stored to phone, leaving 215MB. The only Apps I have installed on the phone are Spotify and Google Play store. All other Apps were existing in the phone. Accordingly, Spotify has consumed 1.16GB and Google play store 18.16MB.

Welcome to Android Central.

The storage allocated to Apps includes those pre-installed on the device. The only ways to make more internal storage space are to uninstall apps installed by you, delete personal data, and delete Cached Data in Settings, Storage.

That;s why carriers offer new phones every 18 months now. That phone doesn't have enough storage for more than a few of the current-size apps. It was barely usable 2 years ago, now it's considered ancient.
