I have lost the message app from my Samsung phone

I can access old messages through the contacts but don't appear to have a messages icon on phone any more

If it was accidentally swiped off the bottom dock or a Homescreen the icon should still be in the Samsung folder/tray in the app drawer/list to put back, or possibly the Galaxy Plus folder.
