I have Samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9500 at&t. I bought it last summer in USA and now I am in Kosovo (eastern Europe). I have always had the 4.3 version so I never had it updated ever since I got it.

Now my phone is slowing down and my apps shut down so I think I need to update the software into kitkat or lollipop.

When I try to it doesn't seem to work it keeps saying: dm initialization is not ready, then I check and it says no updates available.

I wanted to ask how can I get the phone updated into newer version.

    Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! First, try wiping the system cache partition, which doesn't erase any personal data. This can sometimes improve general performance. http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5744

If that doesn't help, then you could flash the most recent firmware via Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...interface.html. Find the correct firmware here: Firmwares - SamMobile
