recently, cannot download attachments on Kindle Fire using YAHOO mail app

I've been viewing/saving files for over 2 years on my KINDLE FIRE HD 8.9 using YAHOO Mail app. Husband's Kindle FIRE is having same problem with YAHOO Mail app. Other email apps (GMAIL) working fine.

The error message given suggests that there is 'something wrong with the file." Have cleared cache, cleared data and reinstalled app. No success

I should mention that the inability to open attachments showed up on three Android devices all on the same day.
