Ok so the apps that I have I put on the SD card on my Galaxy S5 Active, when I go to download the app updates it tells me insufficient space on the device. So now I've got 20 updates I can't download. What am I doing wrong since obviously they aren't on the device itself.

Unless you're rooted, moving apps to the SD only moves a portion of the app, not the whole thing. That portion can be pretty small as well. So you might still have a lot of space taken up in Internal Storage. How much free Internal Storage do you have, as shown in Settings>Storage?

Ok so reading through it, I guess I'm still a little confused. I guess I'm not understanding how I can fix this problem. You mentioned rooting but I'm not even sure what that really is either.

We still don't know how much internal storage you have left to use. Show us a screenshot of the Settings>Storage menu. http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html

If you hardly have any internal storage left, then your main options are mentioned in my guide (i.e., uninstalling rarely used apps, moving as much media as you can to the SD card, etc.). Rooting is the process of gaining superuser status on your phone, which allows you to do more (like moving more apps to SD), but also puts you at risk for causing serious problems with the device if you're not careful. Here is a screen shot of storage via phone and then storage truth. I see it's pretty used up internally. 😕 I appreciate all your all's help ☺

Follow B. Diddy's advice and move and/or delete some stuff to make space and you'll be OK. Keep Storage Truth installed and remember, for installing apps, free space in /data is what matters.

Oh one more silly question...emails, I had no clue they took up a ton of room. I can't get any until some are deleted and then I have to delete my accounts and a day later can put them back on without the apps. Do you all know any program or app that can throw out a hey my email addy has changed so I don't have 3 different accounts? 2 are personal and 1 is junk diversion.

Ok so here I am again. I've moved all apps that will let me to the SD card. I've deleted many apps that weren't used often. Now email won't uodate due to insufficient disk space as well as app updates. So what am I doing wrong? Is it the apps running? If so I've tried to stop them but they just reappear right back.
PS - don't judge my emails lol 😁
