How to fix a frozen upgrade?

My Samsung Galaxy S5 has been stuck on 'Android is Upgrading - Starting Apps' for over 20 minutes now. Should it take any longer than this? How do i fix if this isnt normal?

Welcome to Android Central! That seems too long, although it may depend on how many apps are installed on the phone. I assume it got through the app optimization process, right?

Was the update an official over-the-air one, or did you manually install it?
