Google play on Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 not working

Today I found one of my old phones and decided to root it using framaroot and that went surprisingly well, but a few days after rooting the phone the Google Play Store wouldn't connect as if I wasn't connected to WiFi, even though it says connected. I was thinking about flashing the stock rom but wanted to know if there's any way to fix this. I cleared the cache and data and got nothing. Any suggestions? I also followed all of this websites instructions and got no good results.

Have you tried booting in to recovery and clearing the partition cache?

No, but I did a factory reset. I dont have it with me right now but I will let you know if it works
