How best Google Photos to find all photos?

Google Photos keeps asking for a 'simple' term when I give precise file name/location. Also can't give folder address. 'Piccassa' used to be able to find all photos.

Welcome to Android Central! So you're trying to search for specific photos in the Google Photos app by giving a directory location? Or are you talking about the Google Photos website?

Thx for your interest in my Google Photos challenge.
All that I'm trying to do is to have Photos pick up all of my pics. Picassa used to do this.
Instead, Photos asks me to 'simplify' my request and then still won't import.
What can I do to get Photos working?

I'm afraid I still don't quite understand the question. Are you talking about the new Google Photos app on your phone, or the new Google Photos on your computer? When you say you want Photos to pick up all of your pics, do you mean you want the Photos app on the phone to display all photos that are saved locally on Internal Storage as well as in your Google+ Photos on the web? Or are you trying to use Google Photos on your computer browser to upload all photos that are locally stored on your computer?
