Why wont the recent apps and back buttons on my samsungs5 work?

I just received my samsung s5 todayand out of the box it worked fine. after finishing the software updates my recent apps button, along with my "back" button stopped working. I don't know how to fix this, PLEASE HELP My phone is GSM unlocked if that makes a difference.

Welcome to the forums. I would try a reset, since you don't have that much to lose anyway. If that doesn't work, I would take it to your carrier and explain what happened.
