How to export slow motion to instagram facebook etc. on the LG G4?

I used to have HTC one M8. The slow motion was good (smooth) and it was easy to upload to a variety of social media. I'm find the slow motion on the G4 sucks.

1. Its hard to find
2. Its pretty choppy (especially at 1/8)
3. Its near impossible to edit the video. While it looks like you can click through the slow motion video, it doesn't really let you do it.
4. Finally, for the life of me it seems impossible to upload to instagram or facebook or youtube. It shows in slow motion on the phone, but then reverts to regular speed on the upload.

There are two ways to do slow motion.

1. Record faster than normal speed. Play back at normal speed.

2. Record at normal speed. Play back at slower than normal speed.

It sounds as if the M8 does the first (making editing easier, and making any app that plays the video normally show it in slow motion), while the G4 does the second (making it more difficult to edit in slow motion and making apps that play it normally not show slow motion).
