It has a red android symbol as its icon. When you go to the Settings and click Apps then find PhoneBooster and click on it it wont let you Uninstall the app. Plus (don't know if the app is the cause) my tablet keeps installing apps without permission and (as I have been typing this) random web pages are opening without me typing or clicking anything. So can someone PLEASE HELP me?

Go to settings - security - device administrator. If that app is listed there uncheck it and try to uninstall again.

I can't find a phonebooster app with that icon. Did you downloaded it from the Play Store? Post the link or the whole name and we'll try to help you.

I downloaded it by accident. I was looking at ways to get extra food on jurassic world the game and I guess I clicked on a download button for it. I went to my downloads and deleted the download but it is still listed under the apps.

I've never used an antivirus in my phones so there are some things I could miss. I think the better thing to do could be posting in that thread. I'm sure that Rukbat will be more than happy to help you and he's a real expert. Try to quote him and #8 post so both of them will be notified.

Install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and let it run at least overnight.

Then install an antivirus program like Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus and let it run. (You don't want them both starting to do their first run at the same time or your phone will crawl.)

One of them should find Phonebooster and offer to remove or quarantine it. (If it installed as a system app, you'll have to root in order to remove it,)

Rukbat, I did that and it found it but (on malwarebytes) when you click delete-uninstall it says something... I do not really understand what it means but you have to do what the first buy was trying to get me to do. I found out why I could not get it to work when tried to get me to do it. It was not listed as PhoneBooster it was listed as Android Settings. Anyways when you click on "Android Settings" the whole for real settings goes to the next pg but then crashes before you can click DEACTIVATE! Do you know how to get it to where I can click DEACTIVATE?

I just went very same thing and after days of trying everything, and many diff apps, the app by Avast Mobile Security got the job done. It took running it couple times, the first run didn't pick it .Once it scans and finds it, you have to go to uninstall apps to uninstall it for good. For me, I couldn't uncheck it in my device administrator, but, after Avast, I could and able to delete. Hope it works for you.
