Unlocked CDMA/GSM/LTE phones for use on Sprint?

[AC Question]

I was looking at the HTC desire 510 on Sprint which is the CDMA (LTE?) version, then I went to HTC to look at the Unlocked version & saw that the unlocked has GSM, CDMA, WCDMA & LTE that looked the same.

It was the Programing .

Has anyone tried to use a Unlocked phone with CDMA/GSM/LTE combo on Sprint?

With CDMA Shutting down in the next fer years, will Sprint join the GSM/LTE club?

The Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 will work just fine. You can find both at Sprint; or purchase either online via the Play Store. If you are interested in the Nexus 6 it recently came down in price, so that's something to consider if you are looking for a good off-contract phone.

Unfortunately I don't think there is one model that is considered global. It looks like there are different models depending on the carrier or region you want to activate it on.

If you buy the Sprint model it won't come with GSM connectivity.

Some phones Sprint sell have GSM but they're world phones
