Can I enable my video player to play in my browser?

I'm looking to replace the stock video "player" that always loads when I open a browser. It's not the stock player which I've disabled and it opens in both the CM browser and Chrome. I think it may have something to do with Flash or Java, but I'm not sure if I can replace it with a video player of my choice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean you want to change which video app plays an mp4 link that you click on in the browser? Embedded videos in the browser will play using HTML5, I think (since Android doesn't support Flash), so you can't change that.
