How can I find my lost samsung galaxy s5 when the mobile data is not connecting?

when going to the "Find My Mobile" site for my Samsung galaxy s5, my device status reads that the connection is "OFF". so that when I go to "Locate My Device", all that I get is an error message stating that my device is offline or the network connection is unstable. Is there anything that I am able to do to locate my phone at this point? Is there anything that I can do to get the phone to connect to a network? Are there any apps that would help me?
