If I update a rooted Android using Wanam will it brick the Android?

I have a SGS4 and I wanted to update it so I am using Wanam to fake its Custom to Official but before I update I want to know if it will brick the phone.

If you are updating to lollipop then I wouldn't use Wanam for anything. The version you have now is not compatible with 5.0 and you could definitely brick it.
