Why doesn't the heart rate monitor work on my galaxy s 6?

the heart rate monitor on the back of my phone stopped working all of a sudden. i got my phone a little more than a month ago and the heart rate monitor was working perfectly for the first couple of weeks. Now it does not work at all. did I somehow disable it or is something wrong with my phone that I need to get it fixed?

Does the light just not come on at all for the heart rate monitor?

Well that is no good, you can try taking it back to where you got it and see if they can swap it out. Or go to a Bestbuy with a Samsung experience in it to see if they can fix it.
