    So, my htc m8 is a few weeks old and It was updating today and suddenly i got the screen with the exclamation mark on it. after googling i wiped the cache and stuff,
    what happened is that the screen went back to the boot screen.
    I've tried everything from recovery to factory reset and the same thing keeps on happening.
    The screen is STUCK !!!

    Welcome to Android Central! What were you updating? Was it an official over-the-air system update? Do you mean that you wiped the system cache partition?

    If the phone is pretty new, you may just want to bring it back to the store and ask for an exchange.
