Why can't I receive messages from Iphone users?

I just got a new ZTE Speed with boost mobile service. None of my friends with Iphones have been able to reach me! What on earth is going on?? I can text them, when they text me back it says "delivered" but I never receive it. My other android friends are having absolutely no trouble with this. Any suggestions? Brand new activated phone, number, account, everything!

Tell your iPhone friends to send you a text and make sure the SMS box is checked. You should receive that text, and from then on you'll receive texts from them. (Otherwise they're sending you iMessages and, since Apple won't let anyone write apps that can handle the iMessage format, Android phones can't handle it and treat it as a junk download and delete it.)
