I am relatively new to the GSM game and recently got out of MetroPCS. I bought an unlocked Z1 and loaded up the metro card. I got terrible signal strength. I moved to T-Mobile and had the same problem. Reception was very spotty and weak where my Galaxy Light on MetroPCS used to be stronger. No one could figure out my problem. I returned the Z1 and bought T-Mobile's Z1s which I'm using now and have 5 full bars of signal almost all the time.
Does anyone have an idea on how both phones could perform so differently? They're almost the same except one is unlocked and the other is dedicated. I'm glad my phone works so well now but by feel the need for answers. Thank you!
