Welcome to Android Central! Which music app are you using? Do any of those tracks have DRM?

Do you mean Google Play Music, or the default Music app? Phones often have their own Music app that is separate from Google Play Music.

How did you transfer the songs from iTunes? Did you connect via USB and copy the files using Windows Explorer? Or did you transfer them to an SD card and insert the card into the phone?

Are they on Internal Storage or an SD card? In Google Play Music, if you swipe in from the left, turn on Downloaded Only to see if it can find any locally stored music at all.

Sorry, but I'm not sure why it isn't working. Consider uploading all of your iTunes music to your own Google Music Library. Then you can stream it from anywhere on your device, and download music tracks for offline listening.
