Got new S5, with KitKat. Then T-mobile did the background upgrade to Lollipop.

I hear that the battery life using pure Android is better than TouchWiz. Is this true, since longer battery life is always better. Any info on this?

I have used Pure Android and TouchWiz UI as well. Battery life depends on many factors beyond stock vs OEM Skinned. First Google Now has battery issues from my personal use, I don't have it on and my battery life is much higher. Battery size is another factor, what you do with background apps, email, etc.
