Samsung tablet slows down my wifi

Hi guys, my dad recently bought a samsung tablet and a couple of weeks before i got my router replaced, the wifi worked way better than my old one and everything was very fast. But when my dad brought the tablet and added it to the wifi it slowed down a lot, also half a year ago my brother got one to exactly the same but a smaller screen. Both have been slowing down my wifi, and this has been causing me problems due to the lack of speed, can anyone help me please?

If the router is set to 802.11AC and the tablets can only do 802.11N, the router slows down to N speeds. (The same thing with N and G - any mixture of speeds causes the router to run at the slower speed).

Set the router to run only at its fastest speed (it should be somewhere in the wifi or WLAN section), If the tablets don't connect any more, that's the problem and you'll have to put up with it (or buy faster tablets, which probably isn't a choice).

I would second the suggestion to use n only.
