When you turn mobile data off you then have to press 'cancel' or 'ok' for it to turn off. can I somehow turn off the second step? My last phone was s3 and all you did was tap the mobile data button on the notification panel to turn off/on now I have to confirm that I want to turn data off.

Hello. I don't know which device you have but I am guessing you have a Motorola / Nexus or something with Lollipop.

I stopped using a Samsung recently and use a Motorola that just received Lollipop, so I don't remember how it worked before.

There isn't much way around it, but if I pull down the shade with two fingers and touch the signal / data icon it gives a data switch there, which you have to confirm by pressing Done.

Still a 4 step process but I don't have to wait for the pop up when I go to Settings - Data.

Many people love purer vanilla Android, and I like my Motorola, but there seems to be more steps to everything.
