Why are my email contents missing?

Hi there, When i open emails the content is missing yet the same email to my laptop the contents are there. The first line of email appears in notification and inbox. even older emails that had content are now missing. my gmail account is unaffected. many thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? I assume this is with the stock Email app. Try going to the Email app's settings, removing the email account, then adding it back again.

Hi, Thanks for the welcome. The phone is s4 and yes its the stock app. Sometimes the easiest solution to a problem is to turn the phone off and the next day turn it back on and hey presto it works. fine
