Software update Samsung galaxy S4

[AC Question]

My daughter lost a lot of photos when she accepted a software upgrade on her Samsung Galaxy S4. She went to Washington DC with her 8th grade class. Something she's been talking about for 2 years. She took beautiful, amazing pics but now they're nowhere to be found. She's very upset. Any ideas how to retrieve or uninstall the update?

Welcome to Android Central! Were the photos stored on Internal Storage or the microSD card? Use My Files or some other file manager app to look directly in the /DCIM/Camera directory to see if the files are still there.
