I put my sim card in another phone, will I get missed texts when I put it in the other phone

I was able to recover my contacts, my phone carrier is amaysim and I had a Samsung Galaxy now I have Sony Xperia. I only took the sim card out half a day. If there is a chance the messages didn't show up, can I recover them? Also I am still with the Android operating system

If you were sent texts while your sim was out/phone was off you will receive them when your sim is inserted again. In this case you will receive on your Xperia.

You won't recover texts that were in the Galaxy unless you backed them up and restore them to the Xperia.
