My HTC gets very hot?

Literally my HTC M9 arrived today and right now I'mjust browsing on the internet and doodling on my phone then I notice the back of the phone is very hot? Not bacon sizzling hot like quite warm? Why is this happening? I'm sure this isnt normal because I never experience overheating on my phone experiences. I have downloaded all the updates on the phone. Do I need to turn on/off a setting or something? I really really appreciate the help

Welcome to the forums. With a new phone, there is going to be a lot going on in the background. A lot of syncing, the OS and the kernel collaborating all on top of you using it. All that extra going on probably pushed the CPU a little, and since it is an aluminum phone, metal transfers heat quite easily.
