The S6 has a new mode for the camera called Virtual Shot. It allows you to photograph your subject while walking around it, taking a series of images which it connects together. It "looks" like you have created a 3D image, but it isn't. The image is also interactive so you can swipe one way or the other on the saved image to "move around" or rotate your subject.

Very cool. Samsung isn't providing this (yet) for the Note 4. Does anyone know of a workaround to get it or of some other way to accomplish the same thing?

Not likely, Samsung usually pushes out new features on each successive model, possibly it may come with Android 5.1 update, but not likely. You may want to seek out alternative camera apps to see if they can offer a similar option.
