How to monitor on Galaxy S5 what application banners get shown on my lock screen?

Just recently got my Samsung Galaxy S5, after having an Iphone. Right now it seems like everything notifies me on my lock screen such as sprint zone, text messages, snapchat, etc. I really only want certain application notifications to pop up on my lock screen, is there any way to change/monitor what does and doesn't pop up?

Settings - > Sounds and notifications - > App notifications

The above will do what you want at app level.
