Is my Galaxy S3 still savable after being in the pool for three to four minutes?

Accidentally took my phone in the pool for three to four minutes. Pressed the power button and it didn't turn on. Took the battery out and the phone and battery are now in rice. Will it be okay?

There Is a chance it will or will not. Just leave it in rice for up to 24 hours.

Probably not. There's mild hydrocloric acid in the pool, so the metallic parts are being etched as it sits in the rice. See Oh, no! My Phone got Wet! so you'll know what to do when you get your next phone wet.

ab304945, the longer it sits in rice, the worse it gets. Rice has destroyed more cellphones than trucks driving over them.
