Why is my Samsung Galaxy Centura freeazing up everytime I turn it on?

Every time I turn on my Samsung Galaxy Centura , it works for about 10 seconds and it freezes up. It wont let me do the factory reset, what should I do?

Does the same happen with your phone plugged to the charger? Have you already tried removing the battery? The factory reset that you tried, was it from the settings or with the hardware buttons and your phone off?
