My front camera on my htc desire 510 stopped working. How do I fix it?

I've rebooted it multiple times, took the battery out, and did a factory reset, but still nothing. I can't swipe to get the camera to switch around, and the selfie option isn't even available when I open the camera options.

Welcome to Android Central! If you did all of that and the camera still isn't working, then the camera module itself has probably failed. Contact HTC if it's still under warranty, or bring it to a local repair shop.

I know this sounds idiotic, but it happened to me. I recently switched phone companies, and when the sales associate put my cover back on the phone, she did it upside down. Once I realized what had happened and turned it around, I found that it was the cover and not the camera itself.
