Does Xperia Z3 really have a screen self cracking problem?

I'm in the market for a new phone and was considering the Z3, but I've read A LOT of complaints about the screen cracking on its own which made me second guess my choice. I wanted to know if that's a real widespread issue with the Z3.

I also wanted some suggestions for alternative phones. I had LG G3, Galaxy S6 and Note 4 in mind. What do you guys think?
