Okay, so, i recently broke my phone by dropping it on the ground, i ordered a new one through insurance, but my old phone currently still blinks blue when i get a text message, and vibrates when recieving a phone call, but my screen does not work so the phone is useless. Anyways, my new phone is coming in tomorrow and i don't know how to deactivate my old one, so i can use my new one. If that makes sense to anyone? And how can I back up all my stuff from my old phone, to my new one?

take out the sim card of the old one and put it in your new one - that will prevent any messages / calls going to the old phone.

When the new phone comes, go through the initial installation stage, you never know you might have backed up your old phone.
