Why isn't my lock screen detecting my touch?

My lock screen for my Galaxy S5 won't detect my touch. I have to take the battery out for a while and restart it to get it so that I can unlock it. Any ideas?

Try Safe Mode, to test whether a third-party app is causing trouble.

Also, a Cache Partition wipe may help.

Also, SD cards can cause trouble.
