If replacing screen on Samsung galaxy s5 is it possible keypad is damaged

[AC Question]

Cracked my screen and sent it away to get repaired, received 2 messages from them, 1 saying they dont have a black screen and would a white 1 be ok and another saying the screen was cracked where the keypad is and the keypad needs replaced.

I am wondering if they are trying to con me as I have never heard of a keypad on a smart phone. They are wanting an extra £35 for the keypad.

The gs5 doesnt have a keypad.

Parts of the screens are. The glass, then under the glass is a digitizer, and under that is the lcd panel.

Its possible that the digitizer broke.
