Dropped my phone and now the touch screen is working very well?

I dropped my LG G3 on it's screen and now it has a small crack. That's not a big issue, however the touch screen isn't working that well. I have to constantly press the same area of the screen before my touch is registered. How can I fix this? Would a new screen do the trick?

A new digitizer probably would, but don't try to replace it yourself. (It usually takes a new tech 5 or 6 destroyed screens to get it right.) Bring it in to a shop with a reputation for being honest and pay them to do it. It'll be cheaper in the long run.
