Why does my phone freeze when I turn up the volume?

Sometimes when I want to turn up the volume on my Kyocera Hydro Life, it freezes and sometimes even restart by itself. In some occasions aswell, when I press a number to unlock my phone it also has a chance of freezing and restarting. This issue has been bugging me for about a month now. Thank you!
