Samsung Tab 2 Not Charging

[AC Question]

I have tried everything to get my tab to turn on. Finally purchased a new battery on line. The tablet came on, however it will not charge. What the he**. Does anyone have any suggestions before I use my as a target.

Perhaps the old battery did not charge because there may be a fault somewhere in the charging system? In which case, that will need fixing before the new battery will charge. Among other possibilities, a faulty USB lead or faulty or dirty USB port.
