    I received call that person said rang like 10 times before I answered....wasnt going to voicemail. I tested calling myselft when got to work....it will go to voicemail, but rang 18times before the voicemail activated.

    This is controlled by your carrier. You should contact you carrier if you want to change this.

    Alemuit is right that this is set by the carrier, not on the phone. Actually, it's not set by the number of rings. It's set by time to ring. There's short codes you can dial to set ringtime, but it's easier call your carrier and let them set it. The number of rings is kinda hit and miss, so you can have them set, say 20 seconds, then call and see how many rings that results in. Then adjust longer or shorter as needed.

    Also, I've noticed you might hear more or less than the caller does. You might hear 6 rings but the caller maybe 9 or 10. Or 4. It's not a set, consistent thing where you can say 20 seconds means everyone will hear 6 rings.
