Why does weather come up instead of screen turning off?

When I set my phone down the screen would usually turn off after a short time. Now it just wants to display the weather app. Screen stays on constantly and drains my battery. What is going on?

Welcome to AC.

If you can do a Cache Partition wipe on whatever device you have, try that.

Also, try Safe Mode....a third-party app may be causing trouble.
