Why are no tasks appearing on my 4x2 calendar widget for my Galaxy S5?

Whenever I try to add a task, the task is successfully created however it does not appear in the widget. It is available in the regular calendar app but it is inconvenient for it to not be in the widget on my home page. Tasks have been showing up on the widget before but now they do not. I have noticed that the tasks that do not appear have a strange "D-1" under the due date.

I'm having the exact same issue with my S5. Widget was showing tasks fine before lollipop update, but now only shows them in app. I've asked about it everywhere i can think of, but no one will give me an answer as to why it's doing this, if there's any way i can fix it, if they plan on fixing it, or why they haven't yet! Ugh!

Same issue, someone PLEASE fix this. I live and work by my mini cal widget, and I really need my tasks to show up (they still show up in month cal widget?!?.) I've tried a few other cal apps, but can't find one I can use s voice to schedule tasks and appts.
