How can I tell if my texts have been blocked?

I sent a text message about a week ago and never got an answer.

There's no way of knowing that you are being blocked by someone else short of asking them. I'd suggest a quick phone call and see if they answer. That'll be a good time to ask if they got your text message rather than asking if you are blocked.
