How do you extend Battery Life on GS6??

Okay so, I got the Galaxy S6 from AT&T during the last week of July... I've rooted the phone so I could change my boot animation. My major concern about this phone is the battery life.. It sucks. My other household members have the Galaxy S6 active and the battery life has been great. I love the Galaxy s6 because of the fingerprint sensor and the looks. I really don't want to switch in this phone for the active. Do any of you have suggestions? I'm sure with my phone being rooted there is something I could do.
