Can I disable outlook without deleting it?

AC Question

I've recently switched from Outlook to Gmail. Everything was good for months, but after the latest software update formy s4 every 10 sec it says 'failed to log in to' my outlook email. I can't turn the sync off. Tried manual sync etc,but nothing. Any suggestions?
