My screen is frozen on my phone. How do I fix this?

I have an S6 and my screen is frozen on the home screen. I've tries to power off and restart but it doesn't let me select anything. How can I fix this?

Hold down the power button until it restarts - it could take up to 30 seconds. If it still doesn't restart, bring it to your carrier. (But it should - a long power press simulates pulling the battery and putting it back in.)
