My 1 year old galaxy S4 will not charge.

While my phone is on the charger it starts dying more and more till it fully dies. Once it completely dies it is able to charge while phone is off and only at this time will it charge. Help!

It could be a battery problem. Have you already tried using a different one?

Ever since 5.1.1 my note 4 has went down the drain. I have been so upset in result to the update, and have factory reset because of it, which didn't solve any issues. I use to play music, surf the Web and write essays as I was charging and never have a problem with the phone, but now, I can't even have the screen on without it dying, while on the charger!!! It won't charge from 0%-90% in 8hrs. Never had a problem, until the latest update. Someone help.
