Why is my Moto app crashing (constantly) after the Lollipop update?

I frequently get the "Unfortunately, Moto has stopped" notification (even when I'm not using Moto related apps) and cannot get into the Moto app to change my settings without the app crashing. It was fine the first few days I got the update and I was able to set up some of my personal info, but now I'm trying to fine tune settings such as as assist and cannot due to the constant crashing. Any idea of what I should do to fix this?
 
You can clear the cache for an individual app going to settings - apps - "all" tab - scroll down to find the app - tap on it - clear cache. If you go to settings - storage - cached data you'll clear the cache for all your apps. But after a system update it could be useful wiping the cache partition, that's a completely different process.
